Grocery POS Software Technician – Sacramento, CA
Retail Data Systems is looking for a motivated Grocery POS Software Technician Sacramento, CA. RDS is the largest independent provider of Point of Sale in North America and our RDS West team services grocery customers across the West Coast. This occasionally can be a customer-facing position at a customer site, but most of the job will be done remotley.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience troubleshooting NCR products (ISS45, Encor, Storeline)
- Network connectivity and security (wired and wireless)
- Willing to work weekends and be on a call once a month
- Operating systems (current, past, Windows)
- PC Hardware (building, troubleshooting, and testing)
- Friendly and patient demeanor when dealing with customers
- Point of sale experience preferred
- Grocery experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot network connectivity
- Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace point of sale / POS / PC / computer hardware
- Image, reimage, backup point of sale equipment using Acronis and Ghost
- Daily interaction with customers to resolve OS, network, software, and hardware issues
- POS system project planning
- POS System installation and training
